What is the Hobart Exterior Facade Rebate Program?

It's a City of Hobart grant that reimburses 50% of the cost of qualifying exterior facade improvements — roofs, siding, gutters, soffit, and windows — on owner-occupied homes inside Hobart city limits. Rebates run from $500 to $10,000 and are paid back to you after the work is complete and paid for. Funding is limited and awarded first-come, first-served.

First-comefirst-served funding

Apply before you start. The City must pre-approve your project before any work begins — applying first also confirms funding is still available.

Eligibility

Who qualifies for the rebate.

Owner-occupied single-family home within Hobart city limits
Current on all property taxes
Covered by homeowners insurance (proof required)
Photo ID that matches the property address
Not new construction, a rental, or a property cited as unsafe or in code violation
An approved project type, completed by a contractor licensed with the City of Hobart
One rebate per household per year — and none received in the previous two years
Project not paid for with insurance proceeds

Rebates are paid as a reimbursement after the project is complete and paid in full, by check to the property owner. A 5-year lien is placed on the property as part of the program. The rebate can be combined with state and utility rebates and federal tax credits, as long as the total doesn't exceed your project cost.

How To Apply

The rebate, step by step.

    1

    Get a contractor quote

Start with a free, no-obligation quote from All One Exteriors. The City requires a contractor quote before it will pre-approve your rebate — so this is step one.

    2

Apply for pre-approval — before any work

Get pre-approved before any work begins. We'll help you put your application together — the completed form, photo ID matching the address, proof of homeowners insurance, and your contractor quote — and submit it to the City for pre-approval.

    3

Complete the work within 60 days

Once pre-approved, you have 60 days to submit proof of deposit and/or complete installation. One extension is possible with documentation from your contractor that the work will take longer.

    4

Submit final paperwork & pass inspection

Provide the final paid invoice, proof of payment, and proof of warranty and registration. A final City inspection is done before any reimbursement is issued.

    5

    Receive your rebate check

The City issues a rebate check made out to the property owner. A 5-year lien is placed on the property as part of the program.
